Wardrobe Essential: Black Kicks

There is never going to be a sneaker to replace the all white kicks; they are just way to crisp and clean to not be at the top of the fly charts 100% of the time. But white gets dirty and not to mention there needs to be some other options in the shoe trunk to supplement squeaky clean game.
Black has always been a popular color when it comes to covering your feet. Going back to the getting dirty argument, they stay cleanly longer than any other shoe and they work to add some weight to the bottom of any outfit; hence why black is such a popular boot color. And when it comes to the detailing that plagues most shoes, black acts as a masking agent to make them look just a sleek as any white pair of sneakers.
Usually combining blue and black would be considered faux pas, but as more celebrities and fashion idols start to pair the two together, the less shriek-worthy it becomes. What this means for you is combining black with the inky indigo of early spring and the juxtaposition of the gravitas of the sneaker combined with airy colors and fabrics latter in the season. The materials used to make them doesn't really matter as long as they are black, the rest is all personal preference; although, the leather variety has a nice shine to them.

Tech Tuesday: Prynt Your Pics

Of all the millions of photos that are taken every year, posted onto Instagram and Facebook, shared between friends and family, how many actually make it to physical print? The number is so minuscule and if we're being honest, if probably only kept alive by special occasions and the 50 somethings that simply don't know any better. Finally, someone has wised up and developed a system to work with the most popular cameras on the market, your phones! Prynt is currently in crowd source funding to produce the first ever, non-WiFi or Bluetooth phone attachment that prints the pictures you take. The system works simply by plugging into your phone, it uses its own battery supply and Polaroid paper so that there's no ink leaking out of the case, and soon, a companion app will help to make the entire picture taking and printing experience as seamless and enjoyable as possible!

Monday Outlook: Monochromatic

Playing on colors is always an exciting part of developing an outfit, matching and contrasting varying hues to create a sartorial masterpiece. Of course, this has become something that everyone is used to and may have even gotten a little bored of, so what is there to do but keep it simple.
We saw black and white and every shade of grey in between during the winter in the first iteration of the monochromatic look. Even seasonal shades like forest green and the ever popular marsala made it into the mix with stunning outcomes. Now take a moment to think of all the beautiful shades that correspond to spring and summer and picture just one of them composing an entire outfit; this is the monochrome look, and it's going to be a warm weather staple.
Just looking at versatility of indigo and its ability to be endlessly paired with itself is a prime example of spring transition. And once the winter chill finally subsides, then it will be time for washed out pastels of the same hue being paired together; mint, pink, canary yellow, all are going to be a knock out. The key to pulling off monochrome is to incorporate a variety of texture and to make sure that each item is a slight variation of the color family you are going with, otherwise its going to look too matchy-matchy and that's not going to play.
